Please write, including a CV and a covering letter about your research interests. I can highly recommend Bangor as a place to live and work. We are situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, close to the mountains and the sea. SENR is a lively and friendly department with more than 80 research students from 25 countries working in a variety of environmental fields.

Sophie Williams "The role of botanic gardens in plant conservation" (with James Gibbons and Colin Clubbe). Funded by Bangor University and SENR.
Nadia Richman: "Assessing the status and distribution of the Ganges River Dolphin" (with Sam Turvey and Paul Jepson at the Institute of Zoology). Funded by NERC.
Aidan Keane (Understanding rule breaking in conservation, funded by ESRC) finished his PhD in 2010, did a 1 year post doc with me at Bangor and now works for UCL in the Human Ecology Research Group.
Matt Sommerville finished his PhD (Novel incentives for biodiversity conservation in a community conservation project in Western Madagascar, funded by the Leverhulm Trust) in 2010 and is now working for the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) – United Nations Office.
Freya St John (Assessing and sentencing illegal behaviours in conservation, funded by Bangor University) is now working for Durrell Institue of Conservation and Ecology.
Christina Connolly is working for the Department of International Development as a forestry advisor.
