Research interests:

Effects of variable environments on acid-base balance, respiratory gas exchange, ion regulation, nitrogen excretion and protein metabolism in aquatic animals. Environmental modulation of growth and metabolism, and molecular regulation of muscle function in crustaceans. Characterisation of stress responses in animals exposed to extreme conditions. Metabolic costs of survival and relationship to variations in tolerance limits.
