Celebrating 40 Years of Optoelectronics Conferences in Cardiff

 

 

The 26th  meeting in the Semiconductor and Integrated Optoelectronics ( SIOE ) series will be held in Cardiff, Wales, UK between 2-4 April  2012. The conference will celebrate 40 years of optoelectronics conferences in Cardiff beginning in 1972  with Semiconductor Injection Lasers and their Applications (SILA) which was established by Ben Thomas, Mike Adams and Peter Landsberg.

 

Contributions are sought in the form of oral papers (15 minutes including discussion) and poster papers. Abstracts (1 A4 page in a form suitable for direct reproduction) should be sent before

Contributions are invited on the following indicative topics:

1.  Growth and fabrication including quantum well/ wire/dash and dot materials and devices.

2.  Mid-infra-red semiconductor opto-electronics.

3.  Micro-cavity and photonic bandgap effects in semiconductor optoelectronic devices. 

4.  Semiconductor lasers and  optical sources including organic LEDS and lasers 

5.  Semiconductor-based THz sources , sensors  and detectors

6.  Theory and numerical simulations of  semiconductor optoelectronic devices  

7.  Optical detectors, modulators amplifiers and switches .

9.  All-optical and opto-electronic integrated circuits.

10. Semiconductor spintronics.

11. Graphene optoelectronics

 

 

 

The deadline for submitting Abstracts is 1 February 2012
