Throw me a lifeline.......stars who've worked with Richard.

A prolific songwriter, Richard Orange has had songs covered by many artists. He has also co-wrote songs with many famous people. Stories of some of those colaborations are told below:

Deborah Blando

Deborah Blando - Blando is something of a sensation in her homeland, having had three No. 1 songs, including one that had a 13-week reign),

Born in Sicily and raised on the Brazilian island of Florianopolis, Blando is fluent in Italian, Portuguese and English. From early on, it was clear she had a future in entertainment: Her vibrant, Pisces-driven personality is suited for music, theater and (one day, she hopes) movies.

The album entitled "A Different Story" contains Deobrah's version of the Orange song 'Other People's Houses' Check out a great fan site for more info. This site also provides an MP3 snippett

Different story

"I believe in fate," Blando said. "I think you can change destiny because this is a free-will zone on Earth, but I think there's things that happen to you to get something out of it. It's all a learning process, really."

Dale Bozzio -

After the marriage of Dale and her husband Terry ended in 1986 this also signalled the end of their band 'Missing Persons', Terry went his own way and later remarried.

Dale recorded a solo album under the name "Dale" called "Riot in English" in 1988 reportedly a very 80's pop sort of album (Janet Jackson/Karyn White/Prince).

Dale also remarried and has two kids. As stated previously she is still involved in the music business, recording a Richard Orange composition. In 1991 she toured as "Missing Persons" performing Missing Persons songs with a hired band, and still tours today.

Known as a rather free and flamboyant spirit she appeared at Zappa's Universe which was for Frank's 50th birthday--eleven months late--(it was held in Nov. 1991.) She sang "Fembot in a Wet T-shirt" and did the Mary speech from "Packard Goose,"modifying it slightly to say "Music...and Frank Zappa...are the best."

**************

Jane Wiedlin - Former member of the popular all girl group the Go Go's, Jane never quite reached the success of fellow band member Belinda Carlisle. Her best known hit in the UK was the fast paced 'Rushour' taken from the album 'Fur'

Jane Wiedlin - Tangled

Her third album 'Tangled' features the song "Paper Heart" originally written in N.Y., by Richard Orange & Cyndi Lauper. The song was originally written about the homeless in New York, however Jane would only agree to do the song if she could change the lyrics.

*"The collaboration with Cyndi Lauper on 'Paper heart' was strictly by mail,
we still have never actually met" - Jane Wiedlin.

The original was quite a bit more in depth lyrically, and suffered by losing the lyrics which captured the imagery described by Cyndi, lyrics Richard has described as "quite beautiful and touching"
