Collected Works of A. M. Turing
I took over the editing of the fourth and last volume of the Collected Works of A. M. Turing on the death of Robin Gandy in November 1995. The manuscripts were submitted to the publishers, Elsevier, in July 1999, and the book was finally published in December 2001. See http://www.elsevier.nl
One of my other connections with Turing and his work was that I was introduced to Logic as a second-year undergraduate in 1959 by Max Newman, who was head of the Pure Mathematics Department at Manchester University. He also introduced Turing to Logic - back in 1935.
Further information on Turing :
The main Turing web site is hosted by Andrew Hodges, his biographer. A huge amount of further detail can be found on that website and in the biography, which is entitled Alan Turing: The Enigma.
An article of mine called What computers can't do can be found in Cambridge PASS MATH

Alan Turing (1912 - 1954) was an amazingly innovative mathematician who made original contributions to Pure Mathematics, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematical Logic, Morphogenesis and Cryptography.
Perhaps his most memorable achievements were the invention of the first theoretical digital computer in 1936 (the Universal Turing Machine) and the breaking of the Enigma code (used by the German Armed Forces and U-boats in particular) in 1940; but his contributions to Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence have had great impact.
