Colour version of the photo’s (Figure 3) belonging to the paper Effects of suction-dredging for cockles on non-target fauna in the Wadden Sea. Journal of Sea Research 50:315-323.

Fig 3. Photographs of location 2 at the Groninger Wad, Wadden Sea, The Netherlands, one year after fishing at 9 October 2001. Black patches are clumps of mussels (Mytilus edulis), cockles (Cerastoderma edule) and green seaweeds (Ulva and Enteromorpha). Boundaries of the areas are drawn based on sticks marking the boundaries of the not fished plot and recorded GPS-locations. To make the observed patterns clearer lines were drawn around the non-fished area and the colour of the fished area was made slightly whitish.
